世外小学中秋主题活动WFLPS Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration
平分秋色一轮满，祝福声声伴你行，又到了中国传统节日——中秋。思绪、情感、愿望、梦想…… 一切都像天上的那轮明月，在中秋之夜变得透明而皎洁，柔软而洁净。
Autumn is here with some best wishes. It is the Chinese traditional Mid-Autumn Festival. We have many thoughts, emotions, wishes, and dreams......Everything is just like the bright moon in the sky. It becomes brighter and shinier, softer and clearer on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
为使广大师生更多地了解中华民族传统节日的文化内涵，广泛挖掘与诠释中华传统节日的文化底蕴，使学生在活动中感受到中华民族的优良传统。9月18日，世外小学举行了“中秋月圆人团圆”主题活动。
In order to inform teachers and student about the culture,deeper meanings and to experience the traditions of Chinese traditional Festivals, on September 18th,WFLPS held a“Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration”theme-based activity.
境内部Local Section
境内部师生根据学科特点，分年级进行了中秋主题活动，在活动中充分挖掘中秋节的文化内涵，提高文明素质，主动营造建设浓厚的传统文化氛围。
In the Local Section each year level had a Mid-Autumn theme-based Celebration. During the activity, people learned more about the culture of the Mid-Autumn Festival They understood about morality and harmony related to the traditions.
一年级的小朋友动手制作“月儿圆圆”中秋挂饰。
Yr1 students made DIY “Round Moon”decorations.
二年级的同学们“月饼甜甜”做手工月饼。
Y 2 students made DIY “Sweet moon cakes”
三年级的学生们“花好月圆”做中秋灯笼。
Yr 3 students made “Mid-Autumn Lanterns”
四年级的学生们“神奇月相”制作月亮杯。
Yr 4 students made the “Magic Moon”DIY cups.
五年级的学生们“阖家欢乐”创作中秋贺卡。
Yr 5 students made “Happy Family”DIY Mid-Autumn cards.
双语部 Bilingual Section
双语部部通过WFLTV直播的形式呈现一台“花好月圆品中秋”主题活动。
The Bilingual Section also had “Mid-Autumn Festival”theme-based activity through WFLTV.
海上升明月,天涯共此时.但原人长久,千里共婵娟.古往今来,多少诗人在中秋佳节留下动人的诗句。那你们知道中秋时节月亮的变化吗？二位小主持带着我们一起诵读儿歌认识中秋月亮的变化。
In ancient China, many poets composed a lot of poems about the Mid-Autumn Festival. Do you know the changes of the moon during Mid-Autumn period? The two hosts lead us to recite the poems about the changes of the moon on Mid-Autumn Festival.
“初一看，一条线；初二三，眉毛弯；初五六，挂银镰；初七八，像小
船；初九十，切半圆；十五六，像玉盘”。
On the first day of the Lunar Calendar, it looks like a line, on the second and the third day, it looks like an eyebrow. On the fifth and the sixth day, it looks like a silver sickle. On the seventh and the eighth day, it looks like a boat and on the ninth and tenth day, it looks like a semi-circle. On the fifteenth and the sixteenth day, it looks like a jade plate.
二年级王书言为大家带来一曲优美的古筝表演《高山流水》，筝曲《高山
流水》，音乐与琴曲迥异，取材于“伯牙鼓琴遇知音”，旋律典雅，韵味隽永。
随着乐曲月光落在大地也落在了所有人的心上。
Wang Shuyan from Grade 2 played Guzheng "High Mountain and the Stream". The music is wonderful. It comes from “Boya meeting a best friend while playing the music”. The melody is amazing. With the music, people feel the moonlight shining into everyone's heart.
低年级的同学用英语表演了儿歌。
Low year level students recited English chants.
三年级的杨嘉慧则通过小视频教大家制作有趣的中秋节小兔灯。Yang jiahui from Yr 3 taught everyone how to make a funny Mid-Autumn Rabbit Lantern through a video.
歌声、乐声、欢笑声充斥着整个校园。The whole campus is surrounded with songs, music, and laughter.
融合部PYP Section
“春江潮水连海平，海上明月共潮生。” 农历八月十五中秋节，一轮圆月当空高挂，于是在中国人心目中勾连起了对于团圆的向往。也正因为如此，从古至今，无数文人在这样一个特殊的日子，写下动人的诗句，表达他们对于月色的感叹，对于亲人的思念。
The Mid-Autumn Festival is on the fifteenth day of August according to Lunar Calendar. The bright moon is up high in the sky. It’s the time for a family reunion for the Chinese. Since ancient time, countless poets wrote amazing poems on the special day to express their admiration for the moonlight and also to express their homesickness.
融合部师生通过电视台直播的形式举行了班会课。
Each class of PYP Section had a class assembly through the TV broadcasting.
融合部五年级的同学们带来中秋诗词的诵读。
Yr 5 students of PYP Section had Mid-Autumn poetry recitations.
为什么中秋要吃月饼呢？为什么叫“中秋节”呢？二年级的同学们，畅谈了关于中秋的各种习俗。

他们还用饼干来学习天象中月食的变化。瞧！有的吃有的玩，多有趣！
四年级的学生则以中国书法寄托心中的祝福。
They used the biscuits to represent the changes of the moon. Look! Playing, eating and having fun at the same time.
吃月饼是中秋最重要的习俗，但我们不能只想着吃啊，吃饱了也别忘了抬头赏赏月亮，出门遛遛兔子灯。所以，除了美味的月饼之外，关于中秋还有些什么别的特别的习俗该去了解呢？一起来看下同学们带来的介绍。
Eating moon cakes is the most important custom on Mid-Autumn Festival.Besides eating, we also need to look up and admire the moon, and take a rabbit lantern out for a walk. So besides the moon cakes, what other customs do you know? Let’s take a look at the information from the students.
一年级的孩子们还用画笔设计了各种奇特的月饼。
Yr 1 students used the colored pencils to design various moon cakes.
万里无云镜九州，最团圆夜是中秋。无论是赏月吟诗还是品月饼听小曲，其实中秋最重要的意义不仅在于做什么，也在于和家人在一起做这些事情。所以今天节目的最后，让我们一起来聆听同学们和家人爱与分享的故事。在中秋佳节，奔赴团圆，或者遥寄想念，因为爱在哪里，家就在哪里。
The Mid-Autumn Festival is the time for the family reunion. No matter whether people are admiring the moon, reciting the poems or eating the moon cakes with music, the key point of Mid-Autumn Festival is to spend it with your family members altogether. At the end of the activity, let’s listen to the stories that people shared. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, we gather with the family members, express our homesickness, and realise that the place with love is our home.
明月千里寄墨香Calligraphy of the Bright Moon
在中秋节之际，世外小学部分书画爱好者学子们还参加了“明月千里寄墨香”——台北青少年“徐汇中学杯”两岸青少年书法作品展徐汇区作品征集活动。通过书法作品，寄托海峡两岸少年学子们的友谊之情。
During the Mid-Autumn Festival, WFLPS calligraphy lovers attended “Calligraphy for the Bright Moon", the “Xuhui Middle School Cup”For Taibei Teenagers Activity. Through the calligraphy , teenagers from both two sides build friendships with each other.
中秋年年有，难忘岁岁留。此时此刻,除了品尝美味的月饼，让我们共同祈祷祝愿,祝愿今秋的枫叶叶更红,亲人、友人情深意更浓。让我们所有的情怀在这里释放。最后衷心祝福所有的老师、同学们中秋节快乐。Every year we have Mid-Autumn Festival. Every time, it is unforgettable. Besides eating the delicious moon cakes, we also give our best wishes to all. We wish the maple leaves become redder and that the friendship between friends and the family members last forever.
