春风送暖，善念相传。在世外小学坚持了十几年的公益传统——爱心义卖，今年与校园活力节深度联动，不仅延续了运动与公益相融的温度，更将“零废弃”“循环再生”的环保理念贯穿始终，上演了一场“低碳有爱”的暖心大戏。
Spring brings warmth, and kindness is passed from one person to another. At WFLPS, a long-standing tradition of more than a decade—the annual charity flea market—was this year closely integrated with the school’s Well-Being. It not only continued the spirit of bringing together sport and charitable action, but also wove in the ideas of “zero waste” and “repurposing” throughout, creating a heartwarming event grounded in both heart and purpose.
四面台开幕式，仪式感拉满 4月17日，天公作美，操场暖意涌动。开幕式采用“四面台”设计，台下四个House Team方阵整整齐齐，小主持人分朝四个方向，颇有演唱会的气场。PTA家委主席致辞，五年级Lucas爸爸分享五年来的感动；上海教育电视台公益项目负责人陈先生为学校颁发捐鞋证书。世外小学国际部第一届8位House Captain获授队长T恤，专业老师带领全场跳起了尊巴，台上台下热情洋溢。随着Jackie校长宣布开幕，彩色气球升空，彩色玉米淀粉烟火腾空而起，现场气氛瞬间推向高潮。
On April 17, with the weather on our side, a warm, lively energy filled the school field. The opening ceremony featured a four-sided stage, with the House Teams gathered around it. Student hosts faced out in all directions, giving the event a vibrant, concert-like feel.
The PTA Chair, Lucas’s father from Year 5, shared a heartfelt reflection on the past five years. Mr. Chen, representing a public welfare project from Shanghai Education TV, presented the school with a certificate for its shoe donation initiative. The first group of eight House Captains from the International Division were presented with their House Captain T-shirts. A lively Zumba session followed, with energy and enthusiasm felt both on and off the stage.
As Principal Jackie officially declared the event open, colourful balloons were released into the sky, followed by bursts of bright colors flying into the air—bringing the atmosphere instantly to its peak.
少年“掌柜”，热情四溢
Young Entrepreneurs, Full of Enthusiasm
开幕式后，义卖区人头攒动。同学们分AB角轮流当“掌柜”，别看一年级的同学小，买卖起来本领很大。有的背着箱子满场兜售：“同学，这是带学校LOGO的运动毛巾，运动时正需要！”“这是House Team的拉拉棒，跑步时可以为自己队伍加油喝彩！”小记者穿梭全场采访报道。代金券银行和医务室为大家贴心服务。美食区的运动健康食品、班级摊位的运动周边好物琳琅满目，每一笔交易都是善意的传递。
As soon as the opening ceremony ended, the flea market was buzzing with activity. Students took turns running their stalls, switching roles throughout the day. Even the youngest children impressed everyone with their confidence and sales skills. Some carried boxes as they moved through the crowd, calling out:
“Check out this sports
towel with our school logo—perfect for PE!”
“These are House Team cheer sticks—great for supporting your team during
races!”
Student reporters moved around the grounds, interviewing and capturing the excitement. A voucher station and medical team were on hand to support the event.
From healthy snacks in the food area to sports-themed items at the class stalls, there was something for everyone. Every purchase was more than just a transaction—it was an act of kindness being passed on.
更令人振奋的是主舞台擂台区：跳绳、平板支撑、个人拔河轮番上演。孩子们可以为自己的House Team赚取分数——参与即得token，成为擂主更获双倍积分。拔河成了全场最爱，连平时文静的小姑娘也一连挑战数次，勇夺擂主。跑酷、足球、飞镖、飞盘、趣味高尔夫、保龄球、冰壶……运动区也是欢声不断。
Even more exciting was the main stage challenge zone, where activities like skipping, plank holds, and one-on-one tug-of-war took place one after another. Students could earn points for their House Teams—everyone who took part received tokens, while challenge winners earned double points.
Tug-of-war quickly became a crowd favourite. Even some of the quieter students stepped up again and again, determined to take on the challenge—and some even claimed the top spot.
Meanwhile, the sports zone was just as lively, with parkour, football, darts, frisbee, mini golf, bowling, and curling filling the air with laughter and cheers throughout the day.
亲子接力赛，将爱跑向远方
Parent-Child Relay: Running Together, Sharing the Love
压轴的亲子200米接力赛，赛前经过了严格报名、体能测试、安全协议签署和保险购买。90后、80后、70后的家长们铆足了劲，一位70后妈妈站上起跑线时，体育老师由衷感叹：“你能站在跑道上，你就已经赢了！”红橙绿紫四队的孩子高声欢呼，为爸爸妈妈加油助威。每一次交接棒，都是亲情的凝聚，更是家校同心、共传善意的生动写照。这场接力没有“碳排放”，只有“爱释放”。
The highlight of the event was the 200-metre parent-child relay. In the lead-up, participants went through a careful process, including registration, fitness checks, safety agreements, and insurance, ensuring everyone could take part with confidence.
Parents from different generations gave it their all. As one PE teacher remarked to a mother at the starting line, “Just being here means you’ve already won.”
Children from the House teams cheered loudly, encouraging their parents every step of the way. Each baton pass was more than just part of a race—it was a moment of connection, reflecting both family bonds and the strong partnership between school and home.
精心筹备，只为这一刻
Every Effort Led to This Moment
而这份热闹与温暖的背后，是前夜家校的默默付出。活动前夜，天空飘着零星小雨，却浇不灭老师、家委和爱心家长的热情。他们以班级为单位进校布置，从校门口到紫藤架，足足100米的摊位区、美食区依次排开，11项运动类设施、主舞台、道旗一一就位。当House Team（红橙绿紫四支队伍）和运动项目的旗帜全部撑起的那一刻，好似奥运氛围扑面而来。有的家长和老师一直忙到深夜才回家。
Behind all the excitement and warmth was the quiet dedication of teachers and parents the night before. A light drizzle fell, but it did nothing to dampen their enthusiasm.
Working class by class, they came to campus to set everything up. From the school gate to the school building, a full stretch of nearly 100 metres was transformed into rows of stalls and food stands. Eleven sports stations, the main stage, and event banners were all put in place, one by one.
As the House Team flags—red, orange, green, and purple—and the sports banners were raised, the whole space began to feel like a mini Olympic arena. Some parents and teachers worked late into the night before finally heading home.
值得一提的是，本次义卖从筹备之初便融入了“零废弃”理念——所有装饰物料尽量重复使用。而这份对地球的善意，早在义卖之前就已悄然生根：学校长期与公益组织合作，通过“旧鞋新生”、“树新风”、“鲸鱼的致敬”等系列活动，让孩子们在行走与创作中触摸环保的真谛。正是这些点滴积累，为本次义卖注入了深厚的公益底色。此外，学校还开展了“Kindness Calendar”善行日历活动，鼓励学生每天做一件善事，关爱周围的人事物，在付出中丰盈自己的内心。
It is also worth noting that the idea of “zero waste” was built into the event from the very beginning, with decorations and materials reused wherever possible. This care for the planet did not begin with the flea market—it has been quietly taking root over time.
The school has long partnered with charitable organisations through initiatives such as “Old Shoes, New Life,” “New Habits for a Better Future,” and “A Tribute to Whales,” giving students opportunities to engage with environmental issues through real experiences and creative work. These ongoing efforts have helped shape the strong sense of purpose behind this year’s event.
In addition, the school’s “Kindness Calendar” encourages students to carry out one act of kindness each day—caring for the people and world around them, and learning to find meaning through giving.
善念传承，以少年之力赴长远之约
Carrying Kindness Forward: Young Hearts, Lasting Impact
一场义卖，传递一份温暖；一份坚守，彰显一种担当。世外小学让身心健康赋能爱心，让环保成为习惯，让善念在少年心中生根发芽。这已不仅仅是一次爱心义卖，更是一堂关于可持续发展与责任担当的沉浸式课程。
这场活力四射的爱心义卖，所募集的善款既用于为边远山区儿童送去学具、玩具，并为他们的每日早餐增加一只鸡蛋，也投向宁夏沙地的绿色种植、海洋环境治理等公益项目。它让每一个参与者懂得：“给予”的快乐，远比“得到”更持久；而对地球的善意，与对他人的关爱同等重要。薪火相传，善无止境——明年，我们再相约，继续“义”起领跑！
One flea market, one act of warmth shared; one tradition upheld, a strong sense of responsibility revealed. At WFLPSID, physical and emotional well-being empower acts of kindness, sustainability becomes a habit, and compassion takes root in young hearts. This is no longer just a charity sale—it is an immersive lesson in sustainability and responsibility.
This vibrant charity event raised funds not only to provide children in remote areas with school supplies and toys, and ensuring they receive an extra egg as part of their daily breakfast, but also to support environmental initiatives such as desert greening in Ningxia and marine conservation.
More importantly, it reminds every participant that the joy of giving lasts far longer than receiving, and that caring for the planet is just as important as caring for one another.
Kindness carries on, and its impact knows no bounds. Next year, we will come together once again—Running together for a good cause: Making every act of love count.
