九月，已过中秋却还有着夏日明媚，阳光透过树叶的缝隙，斑驳地洒在操场马尔代夫蓝的跑道上。“双减”、“五项管理”、“5+2”，一系列的各种关于教育的政策一一落地之后，让学校的操场更加繁忙起来，放眼望去都是孩子们跑动、跳跃、嬉戏游戏和打球的身影。他们仿佛五线谱上跳动的音符，让这片阳光下的校园更有了韵味和律动。
In September, mid-autumn has a summer flavor. The sunshine shines through the leaves on the trees and onto the blue track. “Double Deduction” “5 management items” “5+2”are a series of educational policies that are turned out one by one. Because of the increased opportunity for more Physical development the school playground is noisier than before. The kids are running, jumping, playing games and playing balls. They are just like the notes on the staff, which makes the campus interesting and attractive.
每周二的操场上，都会看到一群穿着美式橄榄球装备的孩子们在操场上训练和比赛。这就是世外小学融合部美式橄榄球课程。
本学期是此项课程实施的第二年，也是原来的四年级学生打球的第二年。他们升到了五年级之后，已经有了一年的橄榄球技术基础，在这一年他们除了要学习基本的技术技能动作之外，日趋偏向于比赛实践。他们更希望以一场酣畅淋漓的橄榄球赛来成为他们毕业典礼的一部分。
Every Tuesday, there are students wearing American Football uniforms practising on the playground. They are participating in the WFLPS PYP American Football Course. This is the 2nd year the course has been run at the school. Yr 4 students participated last year. Now they are in Yr 5. They have mastered the basic skills of American Football already. This year, they focus on not only improving the basic skills and movements, but will also try to be competative. They hope to have an American Football Match as one part of their graduation ceremony.

有些家长比较担心，觉得美式橄榄球是一项有很多冲撞的运动。柔弱的女生害怕冲撞，矮小的男生也害怕对抗。
Some parents worry about the violence such as American Football. The weaker girls are scared about the pushing and the shorter boys are also afraid to compete.
学校也想到过这点，所以在引进课程之前和教练组都做了大量的沟通工作。“作为小学体育兴趣化”这一标杆，美式橄榄球的课程都是从最基本的运动体能、简单的动作和技能、多样化的趣味游戏和团队协助等方面开展。
The school took these worries into the consideration, and before implementing the course, the school communicated a lot with the coach. As a“Primary Year PE Students hobby club”, the American Football Course starts from the basic sports exercise, simple movements and then skills. They play various games focussing on teamwork and coordination.
由此可见，融合部的橄榄球课程其实并不存在激烈的冲撞和对抗，只是希望学生上完课程之后，对美式橄榄球有一定的认识，如果真的有浓厚的兴趣，那便从中埋下了希望的种子，随着年龄的增长，说不定在将来自己也会对这项运动有更专业的了解。
In fact,the PYP Section American Football Course is not violent. It focuses on arousing the students’ knowledge about American Football after class. We hope to plant a seed in the students’ hearts. As time goes by, maybe some students will try and join professional clubs.
当四年级的学生们第一次穿上美式橄榄球装备后，男生帅气逼人，女生英姿飒爽。他们通过这项运动，感受不同的文化，培养自己坚定的意志品质。
When the Yr 4 students wear the equipment of American Football, for the first time they are proud. They experience a different apect to their lives and develop their persistence through this sport.
四年级的Tim之前已经接触过这项运动，打了多年的橄榄球，别看他个子不高，但是身体强壮，曾是他们球队的核心人物。他在三年级的时候就十分期待四年级的橄榄球课程了，能在学校里和同学一起打球，让他倍感幸福，这种幸福并不仅仅是这项运动的冲撞，更是心之所向的“达阵”和队友之间的拥抱。
One year 4 student Tim, has participated in this sport before. He has played American Football for many years. He is not tall but strong enough to be the key person in his team. When he was in Yr 3, he was looking forward to having this course as part of the Physical Education Curriculum. He feels happy to play American Football with his classmates at school. He is happy to work with his team, compete against his school mates and achieve success.
