科技的发展日新月异，许多我们现在还觉得不可能发生的事物，在不久的未来都有可能变成现实。就好像20年前的人们一定想象不到5G通讯、共享单车、滴滴打车、外卖订餐会如此深刻地、彻底地改变了我们如今的生活方式。随着互联网、大数据、人工智能、虚拟现实、3D打印等等技术的进步，人类的第四次科技革命正向我们大步走来！在座的每位同学都将是这场科技革命的参与者，说不定还会是发明者哦！
With the rapid development of the science, many unbelieveable things might happen in the future, just like 5G communication, bike-sharing, and the Didi Taxi. Twenty years ago we could not imagine door delivery take-out food. They have changed our life style.With the development of the internet, data, AI, virtual life, and 3D printing, human beings are participating in the fourth science revolution. Every student is a participant in this science revolution. Maybe they will be a successful inventer.
“奇思妙想校长奖”回顾
Review of “Principal's Award for Creative Ideas”
去年的“奇思妙想”活动还历历在目，同学们独特的视角、细致的研究、精彩的视频都给大家留下了深刻的印象。此刻我们迎来了融合部第二届“奇思妙想校长奖”。
We still remember last year‘s “Principal's Award for Creative Ideas ”. The students had their perspective, did some thoughtful research, and presented some impressive videos.
Now we have the 2nd “Principal's Award for Creative Ideas ” in our PYP Section
小学生的“奇思妙想”是一种强烈的好奇心和求知欲，是一种积极探究的状态，是一种对事物独立思考的能力，是一种个性动机下的兴趣。从今年9月开始，我们融合部的孩子们学习了列举法、临时小记者法、角色扮演法、组合法等多种创新方法，大家都在自己感兴趣的领域或者想探究的事物，独自或者与好友组队一起探索研究。我们填写“奇思妙想”日志，提交设计图、制作产品，非常努力得尝试解决问题。今天让我们一起来庆祝这场探究之旅！
Primary Year School Students‘s creative ideas are a reflection of curiousity and a desire to learn.They have a positive attitude, independent thinking skills and are motivated through their interests. From September, the PYP students learned various creative methods, such as enumeration, temporary journalism, and role play. Students researched individually or in groups in order to explore possibilities.They completed a “Creative Ideas” journal, including planning stages, how they made the products, and reflected on how they tried to solve the problem. Today let‘s celebrate their exploration.
评选标准Criteria
透过许许多多的学习单和作品，我们看到了一双双善于发现问题的眼睛，学生的想法天马行空、又特别有意义，要从这么多好的作品中选出最佳作品，真是一件幸福的烦恼啊！在评选奖项时我们考虑了以下几点：第一，这个产品体现了学生的行动力。我们关心社会中的不足之处、维护所有人应享有的权利、促进平等和公平。我们根据身边人的各种需要，发挥自己的已有知识和技能找到新颖、明智和可持续的解决方案。我们为了更好地开展学习，使生活方式变得更加健康。
第二，学生提交的创意必须是一个具体的产品，或者以现有的科技能实现的创意。第三，项目制作的过程必须是学生独立完成，低年级学生的作品可以允许一定程度的家长参与。经过校长、老师和全体融合部学生的投票，我们最终选出了13个非常优秀的作品。
Many students submitted their work. We found that they were good at discovering problems. The students‘ ideas were fancy and meaningful. Choosing the better work from the best was enlightening but difficult. We considered the following points:
1. The product shows the students‘ action. We see that they can focus on the weaker points of society. They had to ensure it was fair and equal as well as catering for the needs of people. They must show how they used their prior knowledge and skills to find out a new and smart sustainable solution to solve the problem. Their aim was to make our life healthier.
2. The plan that the students submitted had to be a specific product that could be realized by current science and technology.
3. Students were expected to complete the task independently. The lower year level students could ask for their parents‘s help to some extent. The principals, teachers and all PYP students viewed the products and submitted their votes. There were 13 finalists chosen.

在评选过程中，我们还发现有许多学生的作品不仅着眼于科技，而且更关心社会中的不足之处，使我们的生活方式变得更加健康，所以这次的评选除了“奇思妙想校长奖”之外，我们增设了“Lifestyle Choices奖”和“Participation奖”。
During the voting period, we discover that many students‘ work not only focused on the science but also focused on the weaker points of the society and attempted to design things to make our life styles healthier. So this time, besides the “Principals Award for Creative Ideas ”,We also added two more awards:“Lifestyle Choices” and “Participation Awards”

也许你会觉得他们的创意还很稚嫩，产品也不够实用，但请一定记得不要停止思考，只要你坚持，五年、十年后，在将来的某个时刻它可能就能实现！大家不妨畅想一下自己十年后的样子？你可能刚刚考进理想的大学或者刚刚踏入社会，那时的你是否依然保持着不断思考的习惯呢？一个不断思考的人会是什么样子呢？请允许我向大家介绍一个人。他是个普通的北京邮电大学的大学生，今年7月刚刚毕业，他也是个拥有超过800万粉丝的视频制作者；他是千万果粉之一，平时就爱摆弄一些科技产品，他也是中国第一位采访过现任苹果公司CEO蒂姆库克的大学生。在临近毕业时，他做了这样一件又平凡又很了不起的事，我们一起来看一下。
It may seem that their creative work is still childish and that the products are not practical, but please remember not to stop thinking. As long as you persist, you may realize your dreams in the future. Let’s imagine what we will look like in ten years. You may be enrolled in the college just now or you will be the freshman in the society. At that time, will you still keep the thinking habits? What will a thinker look like?
Please let me introduce you a man,who is an ordinary college student of Beijing You Dian University. He graduated in July this year. He is also a video maker on the internet and has more than 8 million fans. He is a Apple fan himself. In his spare time, he likes making scientific products. He is the first one who interviewed the current CEO of Apple Company—Tim Cooper. Before graduating, he did an unusual and amazing thing. Let‘s take a look at it.’
