新颁布的义务教育数学课程标准目标将学生的核心素养定义为：
（1）会用数学的眼光观察观察世界。
（2）会用数学的思维思考现实世界。
（3）会用数学的语言表达现实世界。
基于新课程标准的数学核心素养，融合部的数学节活动于上周四开幕啦！在接下来为期6周的数学节活动中，融合部的学生会参与各种数学节活动。有寻找数学计算小能手、数学表达小能手、优秀九宫格作业展示和各年级数学项目展示汇报等。
我们先一起看看五年级的数学项目——Ancient Civilizations Board Game！
五年级的学生们在本学期学习的第一个UOI单元是Ancient Civilizations（古代文明），而同时在数学课上，他们又学习了小数乘除法单元。因此，老师设计了Ancient Civilizations Board Game这个数学项目，五年级的学生通过回忆自己最爱的桌游形式，选择一种桌游为基础，融入学到的古代文明知识和小数乘除法计算题，设计出了一款款有趣独特的桌游。最后他们在数学课上在年级内进行游玩，并由老师用事先准备好的rubric进行打分，由组内成员对每一个小朋友的表现进行互评。

I think my group should add more math problems. There were only 20 of them. I think we did a pretty good job for the ancient civilizations part. We had our idea from the ancient Egyptian game Senet.

Today we played the Ancient Civilizations math board game. First we learned how to cooperate in the team so that we had a better chance to play and help our team. Second, we did many calculations, which helped us improve our calculations. We also learned many facts about the ancient civilizations. When I am in another group, we were playing the monopoly game. I think it was a really creative and fun game because the rule said that if you wanted to buy a land, you need to calculate a math problem and also learn about an ancient land fact. I think it was a very good activity that helps us improve our math and learn the ancient civilizations.

We did lots of research during the design of our board game, especially the ancient civilization pictures in different countries. The combination of ancient civilizations and decimal math questions is very interesting. We worked on every detail of this game and tried to make it perfect and attractive.
