As P2A’s students said at the close of our class’s Assembly on March 23rd, 2022, our central idea is: “Over time living things need to adapt in order to survive.”
正如P2A的学生在2022年3月23日班级集会结束时所说的那样，我们的中心思想是:“随着时间的流逝，生物需要适应调整以生存下来。”
For our Assembly, we wore dazzling costumes and smiled the biggest smiles – but beneath those costumes and smiles, we were sooooo nervous! It’s not an easy thing to do the first live Assembly in three years and worse, none of our students had even seen one beforehand! All we could do was practice and hope that all our efforts paid off in the end.
在我们的集会上，我们穿着耀眼的服装，笑容满面。但在这些服装和微笑之下，我们其实是非常紧张的!三年来的第一次现场集会可不是件容易的事，更困难的是，我们的学生甚至都没有经历过这种形式的集会!我们所能做的就是练习，希望我们所有的努力最终都能得到回报。
Well, maybe we did a little more than just practice. The students in 2A also had a big say in what kind of Assembly they wanted to do, and started by getting into small groups and writing collaborative stories. There were so many cool ideas – but it was only after we went on a wildlife safari that we really knew what we wanted to do!
也许我们付出的不只是练习。2A的学生对于他们想要做什么样的集会也有很大的发言权，他们在集会前进行分组，合作撰写故事。2A班的学生有很多很酷的想法，在我们去野生动物园参观之后，我们更加清楚我们想做什么!
We would show the school what we learned by pretending to go on a wildlife safari! Only, our wildlife safari would have time travelling dinosaurs, wizards and even Doraemon!
我们在集会中模拟去往野生动物园的场景，让学校看看我们在那里学到了什么!除此之外，我们还加入了穿越时空的恐龙、巫师和哆啦a梦!
The students practiced in the gym as many times as possible. There were so many things that they had to remember to do: not only did they have to remember what to say, they also had to remember when to say it, how to say it, and where they were supposed to be on stage while saying it. It was like being an actor or an actress: a lot of hard work! And P2A’s students had to be super patient when they weren’t on stage and show everyone how to sit in the gym.
学生们抓紧一切机会在体育馆练习。他们要记忆的事情太多了:他们不仅要记住说什么，还要记住什么时候说，怎么说，以及说的时候应该站在舞台的什么位置。这就像当演员一样:需要付出很多努力!P2A的学生在候场时也必须很有耐心，向大家展示在体育馆观看集会时端正的坐姿。
Then on the day of the Assembly, we did our best! All of us were super nervous, but it was all worth it! We did our best and the audience enjoyed our performance! We did a super job!
在集会的当天，我们尽了最大的努力!我们当中的每一位都超级紧张，但这一切都是值得的!我们做到了，观众喜欢我们的表演!我们太棒啦!
