——Personal Artwork Exhibition of EMMA
大家好，我是来自上海世外小学P3A的EMMA，一个热爱艺术也热爱这个世界的女孩。非常荣幸能够在校园中举办我的个人作品展，向各位老师、家长、同学们表达我的内心世界。
Greetings to everyone, I am EMMA, a P3A student from Shanghai World Foreign Language Academy, also a girl who has enthusiasm for art and the whole world. I am truly honored to hold my personal artwork exhibition on campus to express my inner world to all teachers, parents and students.
从小我就喜欢涂色，于是在我五岁的时候，妈妈带我去参加画画班的报名考试。第一次因为迟到差点被老师劝退。在妈妈再三保证以后不迟到后，老师才肯收我为徒，从此我便喜欢上了这种沉浸于创作的感觉。画画不仅能够在课业之余锻炼专注力，也能让我学会解放自己的想象力，随性而真诚地用色彩、结构、元素、场景、事件来演绎自己的思考和观点。
Since I was little, I have always loved to color. When I was five, my mom took me to painting class and I was almost dismissed by the teacher because I was late for the very first lesson. My mom promised that I would never be late again, the teacher finally accepted me as a student and I have fell in love with being immersed in creativity and art ever since. Painting not only benefits me in exercising my concentration after school, but also did I learn how to liberate my imagination and interpret my thoughts and opinions with colors, strokes, elements, scenes and events in a spontaneous and sincere way.
我平时最爱研究的作品大部分都是关于波普艺术和野兽派作品的，希望自己能够从中寻找到属于自己的独特风格。我钦佩于安迪·沃霍尔超凡绝伦的概念和勇气，他从日常生活的细节中汲取灵感，用现代视角重新定义美学；也偏爱亨利·马蒂斯的创造性，他让狂放的色彩在画布上跳起了舞蹈，把梦境搬进了现实之中。
Most of my favorite works that I usually study is about Pop Art and Fauvist works, looking forward to finding my own unique style. I really admire the extraordinary concept and courage of Andy Warhol, who drew inspiration from the small details of everyday life and redefined aesthetics with modern perspective, also the creativity of Henri Matisse has allowed him to make wild colors dance on the canvas and achieve dreams into reality.

Fantastic Animals Make Me Smile
从小我就非常非常喜欢和小动物们待在一起，因为我发现它们有一种神奇的魔法——无论小朋友还是大人只要遇到它们，就会忘记所有的烦恼和忧愁，展现出最率真、最有趣的自我。
I really, really like to play and stay with small animals, because I found that they have a kind of magic – whether children or adults will forget all the troubles and worries as long as they encounter them, showing the most frank and interesting self.
越靠近观察就会越发感受到，小动物们其实和人类一样，每一个个体都是独特的，有的憨态可掬，有的古灵精怪，有的软萌乖巧。我试图用画笔捕捉到这些令人触动的瞬间，让大家看到作品时感受到单纯的快乐，产生一种向往，希望自己可以像它们一样无拘无束地表现自己独特的灵魂。
The closer you look, the more you will feel that small animals are actually just like us, each individual is unique, some are naïve, some are quirky, and some are soft and sweet. I try my best to capture these touching moments with my brush, so that people can feel pure joy and experience a sense of longing when they see the works I create, hoping that they can express their unique souls unrestrainedly like small animals.

Fantastic Animals Deserve Love and Care
今年在上海疫情封控期间，我观察到了一个很有趣的现象——人们在家中足不出户，平时喧嚣的车流不见了，空气变得格外新鲜，这让窗外的小鸟们变得特别活跃，从早到晚都聚在一起叽叽喳喳聊个不停。这样的体验也给了我许多创作的角度和灵感。
During this year’s lockdown in Shanghai, I observed an intriguing phenomenon – people stay at home, noisy traffic went away, the air became extra fresh, and this made the birds outside the window more active than usual, gathering from morning to night to chatter and chat. This experience rendered me so many creative perspectives and inspirations.
我希望让画作传递更多的爱。动物也是大自然的重要成员，而人类社会的发展影响了许多动物原本的生活环境，甚至改变了它们的习性。我期待着所有人都能够对于动物付诸更多的爱，因为爱护动物的过程其实也是一种爱护自己、爱护世界的情绪投射。
I sincerely hope that my artworks can convey more love. Animals are also crucial to the mother nature, and the development of human society has not only affected the living environment of them, but also did we change their living habits. I look forward to the future that everybody can show more love to animals, since the process of caring for animals is actually a kind of emotional projection of loving oneself and the world.

每个人的心里其实都住着许许多多的神奇动物，只要你敢于想象，敢于创造，它们就会来到真实世界中，为身边的其他人带去温暖、欢乐的能量。希望这次的展览能够启发观众们的思考，去释放自己内心中的神奇动物。
There are so many fantastic animals living inside our hearts, as long as you dare to imagine and create them, they will come to the real world and bring warmth and energy to others around you. I hope this exhibition can inspire you and set free those fantastic animals in your hearts.
