Being Reflective —— A Record of the Opening Ceremony at WFLPS International Division

 

世外小学国际部开学典礼以“热爱是起点,坚持是答案”为主题,围绕“反思成长Being Reflective”展开,通过多元化的活动展现了学生在寒假中的收获与成长,为新学期的学习生活注入了新的动力与希望。

The opening ceremony of WFLPS International Division, themed "Passion is the Starting Point, Persistence is the Answer," centered around "Being Reflective" to showcase students' achievements and growth during the winter vacation through different activities, infusing energy and hope into the new semester's academic life.

版块一 传统与未来的对话:春晚非遗文化与AI技术的融合

Talking Traditions and the Future: Integrating Heritage with AI

小主持以“春晚传统与未来的对话”为切入点,通过欣赏2025年春晚中AI生成的非遗剪纸、刺绣以及机器人舞蹈、智能编曲的传统音乐等,深刻感受到科技为传统文化注入的活力,展现了传统文化在现代科技中的新生。

The young hosts initiated a dialogue between tradition and the future through the Spring Festival Gala, showcasing AI-generated cultural heritage items such as paper cutting, embroidery, as well as robot dances and intelligent traditional music compositions. This demonstrated the vitality of traditional culture and its rebirth through emerging technologies.

Sigrid老师以歌曲《栋梁》为引,为大家讲述了梁思成先生在古建筑学领域的卓越贡献。通过非遗古建筑这一领域,带领学生拓展了跨学科的知识视野,激励他们在文化传承中融入科技创新,汲取梁思成先生的学术精神,深刻领悟“栋梁”的深层意涵,成为连接过去与未来的栋梁之材。

Ms. Sigrid used the song "Pillars" to narrate the outstanding contributions of Mr. Liang Sicheng in the field of ancient architecture, broadening students' interdisciplinary knowledge and inspiring them to integrate technological innovation into cultural heritage, embracing Mr. Liang's academic spirit and deeply understanding the profound meaning of being "pillars" that connect the past and the future.

The Power of Passion and Persistence

寒假中,电影《哪吒2》无疑是深受孩子们喜爱和热议的焦点。两位学生结合自己的学习经历,分享了从电影中汲取的精神力量。三年级的Winlyn从IB培养目标中的“关爱Caring”的角度,倡导大家像哪吒那样,有责任心,多行善事;五年级的Sofia则从中式美学、经典台词“我命由我不由天”出发,探讨了要做自己的主人、肩负使命的重要性。这部剧无论是剧本创作还是动画制作,都体现了团队协作的力量,传递了“一群人一条心,一起拼一定赢”的精神。

The movie "Nezha 2" was undoubtedly a hot topic among children during the winter vacation. Two students shared the spiritual strength they drew from the film based on their learning experiences. Winlyn, a third-grader, advocated for taking responsibility and doing good deeds like Nezha, from the perspective of "Caring" in IB Learner Profile. Sofia, a fifth-grader, discussed the importance of being one's own master and mastering responsibilities, starting from Chinese aesthetics and the classic line "My fate is in my own hands." The film, both in script and animation, embodied the power of teamwork and conveyed the spirit of "unity is strength."

Colorful Imprints of Winter Vacation Life: Demonstration of Practice and Growth

假期里,学生们积极参与多样化的实践活动,从动手制作传统美食到沉浸书海广泛阅读,再到踏上旅途探索未知,他们的九宫格作业满载着丰富多彩的体验。其中P1A Kayla、P2B Lucy、P4A Dora作为学生代表为大家分享了假期热点。这些活动不仅锻炼了她们的品格,还促使她们养成了积极行动的好习惯。

During the vacation, students actively participated in practical activities, from making traditional food and extensive reading to exploring the unknown on trips. Their nine-grid assignments were filled with colorful experiences. Kayla from P1A, Lucy from P2B, and Dora from P4A shared hotspots of their vacations as student representatives. These activities not only refined their characters but also cultivated their habits of taking positive actions.

Reflecting on Growth and Welcoming IB Visits: Teachers and Students Jointly Building New Semester Goals

中外教老师们也给同学们带来了惊喜,生动的表演再现哪吒与敖丙的经典形象,通过演绎三个趣味横生的小故事,巧妙诠释了自驱力、自我管理、交流沟通和反思等核心素养。哪吒运用三件宝器解决了迟到、寻找遗失物品和人际关系的难题,既贴近学生生活,又提出新学期的具体要求:增强学习动力、改掉丢三落四的习惯、促进同学间友好相处。这场表演不仅加深了学生对IB理念的理解,还激励他们新学期践行IB精神,为回访做好充分准备。

The Chinese and foreign teachers surprised the students with a lively performance recreating the classic images of Nezha and Aobing. Through three interesting stories, they cleverly illustrated core competencies such as self-drive, self-management, communication, and reflection. Nezha used three treasures to solve problems related to being late, finding lost items, and interpersonal relationships, which were close to students' lives and set specific requirements for the new semester: enhancing learning motivation, overcoming the habit of being forgetful, and fostering friendly relationships among classmates. This performance not only deepened students' understanding of IB principles but also inspired them to practice the IB spirit in the new semester and prepare well for the visit.

Principal's Message and Grade Representatives' Speeches: New Semester, New Hopes

最后,校长向班级学生代表赠送一盆鲜花,象征着新学期的美好开端,鼓励大家以开放的心态接受反馈,以积极的态度勇往直前,以坚定的信念追求卓越。各年级学生代表发言,分享新学期的目标与期待。

Finally, the principal presented the gift of a pot of flowers to student representatives from each class, symbolizing the beautiful beginning of the new semester and encouraging everyone to embrace feedback with an open mindset, forge ahead with a positive attitude, and pursue excellence with firm beliefs. Student representatives from each grade shared their goals and expectations for the new semester.
