《巨人捕手》改编自英国童话《杰克与豆蔓》,影片讲述被放逐几个世纪的巨人誓要夺回领土,人类必须面对传说中的对手。勇士们为保护国家和人民,必须阻止巨人。电影中的“皇冠”、“魔豆”、“泉水”是游戏的关键元素。
During the "Well-being Festival" *Jack the Giant Slayer*, adapted from the British fairy tale *Jack and the Beanstalk*, tells the story of giants who, after being banished for centuries, are determined to reclaim their lost territory. Humans must confront these legendary adversaries, and brave warriors must stop the giants to protect their country and people. The "crown", "magic beans", and "spring water" from the movie are key elements of the game.
五月的一天,世外小学国际部五年级的学生们结合“活力节”活动,来到郊外营地,在这里展开了一项“脑力+体力”动静结合的综合体育竞速类团建项目《巨人捕手》。《巨人捕手》将哥德堡机械装置的组建与当下最时尚的健身运动进行了有机结合。这是一场从起点站到终点站的比赛,一场与身边队友互信互助的团队赛,一场检视个人与团队高强度磨练的挑战赛。
In May, the students from Grade 5 WFL International Division went to an outdoor camp as part of the "Well-Being Festival" activities. Here, they participated in some comprehensive sports and team-building activity called the *Giant Catchers*. This combined "mental and physical challenges" and integrated dynamic and static elements.
*Giant Catchers* organically combines the construction of Rube Goldberg machines with the most popular fitness exercises nowadays. It is a race from a starting point to the finish line. Its a team competition that relies on mutual trust and support among teammates and is challenging for both individuals and the team.
At the beginning of the event, the students were divided into three groups. They enthusiastically discussed team names, carefully painted team flags, and the resounding slogans instantly ignited the enthusiasm of the whole event.
活动伊始,同学们分成三组,热烈讨论队名、精心绘制队旗,响亮的口号瞬间点燃全场热情。任务挑战环节,各小组火力全开。集体跳长绳时,摇绳者与跳绳者默契配合,如灵动的音符跃动,即便失误也能迅速调整;负重接力跑中,孩子们你追我赶,相互传递的不仅是速度,更是信任。仰卧起坐和俯卧撑的体能挑战下,“后援团” 的加油声此起彼伏,支撑着队员突破自我。
During the task challenge session, each group went all out. When doing group long rope jumping, the rope swingers and jumpers coordinated tacitly, moving like agile notes. Even when there were mistakes, they quickly adjusted. In the relay race with weights, the children raced against each other, passing not only speed but also trust. During the physical challenges of sit-ups and push-ups, the cheering from the "support teams" echoed continuously, encouraging team members to push themslves beyond their limits.
智力挑战区更是火花四溅。面对汉诺塔复杂的圆盘,同学们反复尝试、总结规律;搭建哥德堡装置时,有人设计机关,有人调试运行,当装置成功触发最后一环,欢呼声与成就感一同迸发。
The intellectual challenge area was even more exciting. Facing the complex discs of the Tower of Hanoi, the students tried repeatedly and summarized the rules. When building the Rube Goldberg machine, some designed the triggering sequence of the mechanisms, while others debugged the operation. When the machine successfully triggered the last link, cheers and a sense of achievement burst out together.
这场别开生面的 “巨人捕手” 活动,不仅让同学们体验了竞技的乐趣,更让他们深刻体会到团队协作的力量。活动虽已落幕,但团结互助的精神,将如同电影中的 “魔豆”,在同学们心中生根发芽,伴随他们迎接未来的每一次挑战。
This unique *Giant Catchers* activity not only allowed the students to experience the fun of competition but also made them deeply understand the power of teamwork. Although the event has ended, the spirit of unity and mutual assistance, like the "magic beans" in the movie, will take root in the hearts of the students and accompany them to face every challenge that they meet.
