十岁，是告别懵懂童年、迈向少年时光的重要里程碑。2026年5月13日，世外小学国际部三年级“Be Brave・Be Kind・Be Curious”十岁生日温暖启幕，全体师生、家长齐聚一堂，以成长为名，赴一场关于勇敢、友善、求知的青春之约。
Turning ten is a special milestone — a moment when childhood begins to give way to growing independence, confidence, and curiosity about the world. On May 13th, 2026, Year 3 students at WFLPS International Division celebrated this important moment together through their 10th Birthday Celebration, themed Be Brave · Be Kind · Be Curious. Families, teachers, and students gathered for an afternoon filled with laughter, performances, memories, and heartfelt surprises.
三年级的学生在本学期的英语课上正在研读《The Wild Robot》这本书，因此本次十岁生日也以本书主角机器人Roz的成长线串联四大篇章，仪式感满满又温情十足。
This semester, Year 3 students have been reading The Wild Robot in their English Literacy classes, so the celebration was inspired by the journey of the story’s main character, Roz. Just like Roz, the students reflected on how they have grown, the challenges they have overcome, and the exciting journey still ahead of them. The event unfolded through four themed chapters, each representing an important part of growing up.
第一篇章：启程・初探世界
Chapter 1: Departure • Get Ready To Explore
在故事里，机器人Roz流落到一座荒岛上，醒来时既不知道自己身在何方，也不清楚存在的意义，却眼中有光，开启了全新的生活 —— 一路上也闹出不少小意外。对应十岁生日第一篇章，暖场的成长视频定格了孩子们从懵懂婴儿到翩翩少年的蜕变瞬间，配上每个孩子对过去或未来的自己说的一句话，唤起全场美好回忆。
In The Wild Robot, Roz suddenly finds herself alone after a crash, on a wild island, unsure of where she belongs but eager to learn about the world around her. The celebration began with a touching growth video showing the students from their baby years to the confident young learners they are today. Messages written to their past and future selves brought smiles, laughter, and a few emotional moments for families in the audience.
小主持从教室共读《The Wild Robot》的场景，活力穿越到十岁生日舞台。全体学生合唱《A Million Dreams》，用清澈歌声唱响成长梦想；学生代表 Jasmin 和 Henry 分享十岁成长感悟。
The hosts then brought the energy from the classroom onto the stage, recreating scenes from their shared reading experiences. Year 3 students performed A Million Dreams, filling the venue with hope and excitement for the future, while student representatives Jasmin and Henry shared thoughtful reflections on turning ten.
老师们自己改编了歌曲《小手拉大手》，由Jackie校长、Vanessa老师、Cherry老师、Kathy老师、Nana老师、Peter老师担任主唱，Rita老师、Tom老师、Talia老师分别演奏尤克里里、鼓与长笛。历经数周秘密排练，老师们在十岁庆典当天温情演绎，为小寿星们送上了一份暖心惊喜。
Ms. Jackie, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Cherry, Ms. Kathy, Ms. Nana, and Mr. Peter performed a rewritten version of Holding Hands Together, accompanied by Ms. Rita on ukulele, Mr. Tom on drums, and Ms. Talia on flute. After weeks of rehearsals, the heartfelt performance became a memorable moment for everyone in the audience.
第二篇章：探索・勇敢成长
Chapter 2: Exploration • Be Brave
故事继续，我们的机器人Roz探索这座岛屿，学会生存，一天天变得更加勇敢。第二篇章开场，炫酷功夫荧光秀《Be Brave》燃动全场，光影流转间，少年们用活力身姿诠释勇敢担当。
As Roz learns how to survive on the island, she becomes stronger and braver with every challenge she faces. Inspired by this part of the story, Chapter 2 focused on courage, growth, and trying new things.
The chapter opened with an energetic Kung Fu Glow Stick performance, Be Brave, which immediately lit up the atmosphere. Through synchronized movement, music, and light effects, the students showed confidence, teamwork, and determination.
音乐剧《Growing Up at WFLPS》生动演绎一年级到三年级的校园时光。从一年级校门口“大手牵小手”的暖心瞬间、五年级哥哥姐姐带领弟弟妹妹进教室，到入学仪式上摘取幸运棒；从UOI课堂上老师给学生吃“土”、有趣引入生物与植物单元的学习，到共同用爱心和责任心照顾班级小仓鼠；从艺术单元装饰校园树木，到18种艺术形式的创作……音乐剧的一幕幕日常，鲜活呈现了孩子们如何在校园生活中，成长为关爱他人、秉持原则、勇于挑战、勤于探究的IB学习者。
Another highlight was the musical Growing Up at WFLPS, which brought everyday school memories to life on stage. From older students guiding younger children into school on their very first day, to exciting UOI lessons, caring for class pets, decorating campus trees during art lessons, and exploring creativity through different forms of artistic expression, the performance reflected the many experiences that have shaped the students over the past three years. The musical also captured how students have grown into caring, principled, reflective, and inquiring IB learners through daily school life.
温馨的亲子认照片游戏趣味十足，孩子们在老照片中辨认父母十岁模样，定格亲子温情瞬间。
The parent-child photo guessing game brought plenty of laughter as students tried to identify their parents from childhood photos taken when they were also ten years old. The activity created many warm and touching family moments.
第三篇章：相伴・友善同行
Chapter 3: Companionship • Be Kind
第三篇章温情与感动交织上演。机器人Roz与岛上所有动物和睦共处、并肩同行，患难与共、彼此守护。妈妈们活力起舞《Yes OK》，爸爸们热血合唱《孤勇者》，Austin与妈妈亲子演唱《满怀光亮》，歌舞传递浓浓亲情。
Chapter 3 focused on kindness, friendship, and the importance of supporting one another. In The Wild Robot, Roz learns that life becomes more meaningful through connection, trust, and caring for others — a message that deeply connected with the spirit of the celebration. Parents brought wonderful energy to the stage through a series of special performances. Mothers performed the lively dance 《Yes OK》, while fathers gave a passionate performance of 《Lonely Warrior - 孤勇者》. Austin and his mother also shared a touching duet, 《满怀光亮 - Full of Light》, celebrating the bond between parent and child through music.
家长代表Ellie爸爸上台致辞，对孩子们提出三个期待：第一，待人如己，己所不欲勿施于人；第二，持续进步，早日独立。第三，乖乖吃蔬菜。幽默话语中满含对孩子的期许、对学校的感恩。
Ellie’s father, shared three simple but meaningful wishes for the students: treat others with kindness, continue learning and growing independently, and remember to eat their vegetables. His humorous speech filled the room with laughter while also expressing sincere appreciation for the children and the school community.
第四篇章：逐梦・永葆好奇
Chapter 4: Aspiration • Be Curious
第四篇章成长仪式庄重开启。Roz勇敢面对危险，守护她的岛屿家园，心怀爱与求知，追寻光明未来。校长、老师们为每位孩子点亮成长微光，颁发十岁生日纪念礼。全体学生深情朗诵《十岁，我们来了》，稚嫩嗓音抒发少年心声，许下成长誓言。
Chapter 4 began with a solemn growth ceremony. Facing dangers bravely, Roz guards her island family and chases a bright future with love and curiosity. The principals and teachers lit a light for each student and presented 10th birthday souvenirs. All students recited the poem “We Are Ten” with deep feelings, expressing youthful aspirations and making growth promises with tender voices.
The final chapter centred around hope, curiosity, and looking ahead to the future. Just as Roz learns to protect the island she calls home while continuing to explore the unknown, students were encouraged to face the future with courage, kindness, and curiosity.
During the ceremony, school leaders and teachers presented commemorative birthday gifts to each student while celebrating this important milestone together. Students then recited the poem We Are Ten, sharing their hopes, dreams, and promises for the future with confidence and sincerity.
在趣味满满的视频中，国际部的老师们讲述自己十岁的故事、展示自己的十岁照片，并给孩子们送上生日祝福。孩子们给家长送上自己扎的感恩花束和写给父母的信，同时阅读父母写给自己的肺腑之言，纸短情长传递深情，不少父母感动落泪。
One especially touching moment came when students presented handmade bouquets and heartfelt letters to their parents. Parents also wrote letters to their children, and as families read the messages together, many were moved to tears. Teachers shared photos and stories from when they themselves were ten years old, along with birthday wishes for the students through video.
创意十足的“超级变变变”《WFL Birthday Cuisine》惊喜连连，孩子们化身小厨师，在学校cooking课上为十岁生日准备大餐和生日蛋糕，谁知此时校长们推着真的生日蛋糕出现台上，为“超级变变变”添上惊喜的一笔。全场齐唱生日歌，许下美好心愿。校方代表Vanessa老师致辞，寄语孩子们勇敢成长、友善同行、永葆好奇。
The creative performance WFL Birthday Cuisine added even more excitement to the celebration. Dressed as little chefs, the students prepared a “birthday feast” on stage inspired by their cooking lessons, before the principals surprised everyone by appearing with a real birthday cake. The entire audience joined together to sing Happy Birthday and make wishes for the future. Ms. Vanessa also shared a heartfelt message on behalf of the school, encouraging students to continue growing with bravery, kindness, and curiosity.
压轴礼帽舞《Be Curious》中，孩子们身着红色燕尾服，伴随气球爆破声将十岁生日推向高潮。孩子们互相交换礼物，分享用自己的自自画像和签名做成的生日蛋糕，领取学校赠送的独属拼图相框，定格十岁美好瞬间。
The celebration ended with the energetic Top Hat Dance, "Be Curious". Dressed in bright red tailcoats, students filled the stage with confidence and joy as balloons popped around the venue. Students exchanged gifts, shared cakes decorated with their self-portraits and signatures, and received special commemorative photo frames from the school to remember this important milestone.
十岁，是新的起点；成长，是最美的旅程。愿世外少年们带着这份温暖与力量，勇敢成长、友善同行、永葆好奇，在成长路上向阳而行，奔赴属于自己的闪耀未来！
Turning ten is not just a birthday — it is the beginning of a new stage of growth. May every WFLPS student continue to move forward with courage, kindness, and curiosity, carrying the warmth and memories of this special day into the exciting journey ahead.
