Unique Us, A Unique First Field Trip
独一无二的我们，独一无二的第一次出游
The Year 1 students are exploring the transdisciplinary theme “Who We Are" through their unit, “People Are Unique." Through their learning, they are developing an understanding that knowing ourselves and others gives us a sense of belonging. This time, learning stepped out of the classroom as the children went on their very first field trip since starting school, visiting the creative and colorful UToo Art Studio.
一年级学生正在探究超学科主题 “我们是谁”，对应的单元为 “每个人都是独一无二的”。在学习过程中，他们逐步理解：认识自己、了解他人，能带给我们归属感。而这一次，学习走出了教室——孩子们迎来了入学以来的第一次出游，目的地是充满创意与色彩的UTOO画室。
As they pushed open the studio door, a journey of exploring "the one and only me" officially began.
推开画室的门，一场关于“独一无二的自己”的探索之旅正式开启。
Station One: Creating self-portraits with different materials. The children freely chose their favorite materials — colored paper, yarn, sequins, paintbrushes... Every portrait carried a distinct personal touch. Some children made their hair rainbow-colored, while others used buttons for eyes. It turns out that getting to know yourself can start with such free expression.
第一站：用不同材料，画出眼中的自己。 孩子们自由挑选喜欢的材料——彩纸、毛线、亮片、画笔……每一幅肖像都带着鲜明的个人印记。有的孩子把头发贴成彩虹色，有的用纽扣做眼睛。原来，认识自己，可以从如此自由的表达开始。
Station Two: The whole class painted their hobbies together with red clay. This time, the creation moved from "me" to "us." The children gathered together, leaving their favorite sports, foods, and games on the canvas with red clay. Some drew soccer, some drew ice cream, and some drew little dancing figures. Different interests met on the same canvas — much like our class, where everyone is different yet connected.
第二站：全班一起，用红土画出兴趣爱好。 这一次，创作从“我”走向了“我们”。孩子们围在一起，用红土在画布上留下自己喜欢的运动、食物和游戏。有人画足球，有人画冰淇淋，有人画跳舞的小人。不同的兴趣在同一张画布上交汇，像极了我们这个彼此不同的班级。
Station Three: Shaping their own faces with clay to form a one-of-a-kind class photo. This was the most touching part. Each child carefully shaped a tiny version of themselves, then gently placed each clay face into a large frame. When the last little face was in place, a "class photo" created by the whole class was born — every face different, yet standing close together.
第三站：用粘土捏出自己的脸，组成独一无二的班级合照。 这是最动人的环节。每个孩子认真捏出小小的自己，然后把一张张粘土脸小心翼翼地放进大相框里。当最后一张小脸落位，一幅由全班共同完成的“班级合照”诞生了——每一张脸都不同，却紧紧挨在一起。
On their first field trip, the children not only experienced the joy of creation, but also proved through their actions what they had learned in class: everyone is unique, and when we understand and see each other, we find a warm sense of belonging in this community.
第一次出游，孩子们不仅体验了创作的快乐，更在行动中印证了课堂上那句话：每个人都是独一无二的，而当我们彼此了解、彼此看见，就能在这个集体里找到温暖的归属感。
This is the lesson the first graders taught us with their own hands.
这，就是一年级小朋友用双手告诉我们的道理。
